Rienzi European & Decorative Arts Center - Museum of Fine Arts
Houston, Texas

Rienzi was originally designed by premier Houston architect John Staub in 1952 for the Masterson family. The property and its extensive collection of European and decorative arts was willed to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Jackson & Ryan Architects designed the conversion of the property from residence to the Rienzi European & Decorative Arts Center, restore finishes and design necessary modifications to comply with current codes, which included the replacement of roof and skylights in order to minimize the impact of ultraviolet light.
